Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2024-07-24T08:23Z ( STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2024-07-24T08:23:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Source Location: S08W60
Active Region Number: 13751
Note Keyword:
FF: Event fails/disappears before exiting COR2
GAP: Data gap
Source Signature Keyword:
FLR: Flare
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
BR: Brightening
EUVW: EUV Wave
Morphology Keyword:
FS: Flux Rope and Shock Candidate
Note: CME visible to the west in STEREO A COR2. Not visible in SOHO LASCO C2/C3 in real time due to a data gap. The source is likely an M3.6 flare peaking at 2024-07-24T07:42Z from AR 3751 (approx. S08W60). There is a gap in SDO AIA imagery from ~2024-07-24T06:48Z to 07:45Z, but the eruption is visible in STEREO A EUV 195 and GOES SUVI imagery. The flare is best seen in GOES SUVI 131, EUV wave and opening field lines are visible in STEREO A EUV 195 and GOES SUVI 195/171 starting around 2024-07-24T07:40Z.

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type |

Measurement of the wider, faint, faster shock feature ahead of the leading edge of the CME. This measurement using STEREO A COR2 imagery only due to lack of available SOHO imagery, and the longitude is based on the approximate source location. |
